Groupe Reserve de Bombardement 1 formed part of The Forces Aeriennes Frances
Libres in North Africa during 1941. This aircraft feauturing the distinctive
Cross of Lorraine marking, operated alongside the RAF's No 1430 Flight with
support from 47 Sqn. The unit later became part of Groupe Lorraine when
it formed in late 1941, returning to England in October 1942 to be re equipped
with Halifax's and take part in the Bomber Command offensive in Europe.
The Blenheim IV was relatively succesful in the Desert Air War but could
be vulnerable to enemy fighters.
